Posted: November 30, 2011 at 1:20 amTheres a great advantage to using weight benches instead of other equipment.Using a bench allows you to get the full range of motion from your weights.Its common that exercise machines that are operated by a pulley or hydraulic system make it impossible for you to get a normal range of motion.This can result in training only a small group of muscles and ignoring the stabilizer muscles totally.When youre committed to get your whole body in shape it is very important to exercise your muscles throughout the full duration of the activity.
Cons
The most evident drawback to these exercise machines, especially for power lifters, is that they are not very safe.If youre using a lot of heavy weights you must have a training buddy.When you use home gym equipment such as a bow flex or plate system dropping the weights is not a big concern, they simply fall on the machine and not on you!
